Academic Counselor – McLean ISD

McLean ISD is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Academic Counselor to join our team. This position is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive guidance and counseling program that supports students' academic achievement, career readiness, personal growth, and social-emotional development.

The Academic Counselor will work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and community partners to provide guidance services, individual and small-group counseling, academic and career planning, assessment coordination, and support for special populations. The position also serves as the District Testing Director, helping oversee state and local assessment programs while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.

Successful candidates will possess strong communication and organizational skills, a passion for student success, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.
