On September 13, 2017, Toby Tucker, representative of Region 16, owner of the Amarillo Venom team, and former football coach, came to Mclean ISD to speak with students about bullying. Mr Tucker interacted with the students by playing games and having competitions, which the sophomore class won, and they were rewarded with an extended lunch. These games used the concept of teamwork and helped each class come together.

He gave an inspirational speech of a young running back, Martee Tenner. Who grew up being bullied due to his size, but eventually overcame any negative thoughts, and now is part of a group called the Game Changers. Senior, Maritza Retana shared her experience of the presentation. She says, “This presentation was a great experience for not only the students but also the teachers and administration. It really helped each class work together and bond with each other while learning more about bullying situations.”
